This iconic material was crafted in Grasse to enhance the most sensuous, sophisticated facets of its deep, dark woodiness. “This heart of patchouli forms the core of the fragrance, bringing verticality and style – two signature elements of the tuxedo”, explains the perfumer, Juliette Karagueuzoglou. Like a shiny satin lapel against a tuxedo’s matte grain de poudre fabric, the bright bite of black pepper and the fresh flash of coriander shed light on the dark material. A magnetic ambergris accord hints at the nude skin beneath the suit. An incisively seductive fragrance for those who are not afraid to embrace the power of YSL sharpness.
